The Combat Knife is a melee weapon. It is uncommon, and the second-rarest melee weapon in-game. Its damage is the second-least of any melee weapon in-game, ahead of the Crowbar, but has the shortest reach of any melee weapon in-game. It is tied for having the fastest swing speed of any melee weapon in-game with the Officer's Sabre, and spawns in military locations. The Combat Knife is extremely short, so it should not be used in combat with other players, unless it is the only weapon you have left. You should never use the Combat Knife to kill more than 2 zombies at a time, however it can be useful for a line of zombies, as its high swing speed lets you kill them pretty fast even if your first hit missed. The Combat Knife is kept as a trophy by many, due to its rarity, along with Dr. Pepper and Twinkies. The Combat Knife is found in military areas.

- There was an earlier version of this knife, called the Kitchen Knife, but it was removed from the game and replaced with the Combat Knife.
